The Worlds First Diamond Ring

Have you ever imagined an all diamond diamond ring?

Well, neither did I until receiving an invitation to Shawish Jewellers for the unveiling of just that.

Shawish, the luxury Swiss Jewellers invited the media, socialites and diamond lovers alike to "embark on the journey of the making of 'The World?s First Diamond Ring?" over champagne and rosemary & elderflower cocktails at Il Bottaccio, Mayfair in April 2011.

Estimated at £43million, the patented 150-carat ring composed entirely of a finished diamond will be completed on December 12th 2012 (12/12/12). A computer aided design was shown to whet the appetite of the guests, and the giant multi faceted diamond looked set to be spectacular.

Holly Fulton at London Fashion Week

“Over indulgent, darker and sexier” were Holly Fulton’s words to describe her AW11 collection. And damn right she is. My favourite moment has got to be when one model ripped off her Christian Louboutin pigalles and sauntered down the runway like a pro. So rock ‘n’ roll.

This collection was sexy, fresh and absolutely to die for. The designer’s trademark detailed angular prints were out in full effect, but incorporated into beautiful fluid fabrics as well as structured skirts and dresses with fantastic layers of texture at every turn.

Expertly tailored and fitted to perfection, each garment was an art deco masterpiece with a twist, with beautiful pops of yellow, turquoise and such detailed embellishment that looked so luscious you almost wanted to eat them.

Fulton brought sexy back in her best show yet. Genius.

Caroline Charles AW11 At London Fashion Week

British Designer Caroline Charles held a quintessentially English affair at AW11 London Fashion Week.
Subtle brocade detail on velvets; embroidery, tasteful sequins, cinched in waists and rich brocade fabrics were seen in sumptuous colour palette of regal burgundies and navy. A splash of leopard print kept the looks fresh and tied in perfectly with the collection, but the elegant cocktail dresses sharp tailoring harped back to Charles’ couture background.
Clever details were seen in the watch fobs, equestrian style gloves, silk cravats and a selection of top hats, hunting and bowling hats were set to a classical soundtrack that inspired thoughts of rambling British countryside
