Mulberry at New York Fashion Week
Written by Li Thane-Kitson

This outfit is very New York City chique. Although it was designed for the spring/summer collection, to me it has an autumnal feel with the moderate pastel colours fused together in the top.

This look is versatile, as it opens itself up to both formal and casual wear, for example it can be played down by wearing pumps by day, and more glam by adding heels for evening wear.

The perfect accessory is the Mulberry bag which gives it that City look, and together with the top it gives it that touch of class.

The style of these cropped trousers is relevant to the season, and the colours are pitched at the right level too; it's a desirable ensemble, both pieces complement each other effortlessly. The top alone will attract much attention, therefore no need to accessorise this further; the ruffled neckline adds an air of sophistication. You will feel ready to face anything that lies ahead during the day in this sublime outfit.

Fannie Schiavoni Metal Dress at London Fashion Week

Swedish designer Fannie Schiavoni has turned the word accessory into a whole new meaning, with her unique take on chains, and how they're worn is what keeps her in the fashion eye. This dress was displayed at London Fashion Week 2010. Its a statement within itself its bold, fierce and although it oozes sex appeal probably best suited for the more edgier person. For the mere fact that it reminds me of a re-vamped version of an old suit of armour, is what i think makes it so fashion forward, fresh and original. It instantly screams at the Lady Gaga's or Rihanna's of this world.

Paris Couture Fashion Week AW10
Written by Alexandra Richards

The daddy of fashion weeks showed no sign of recession this season as the big guns of couture displayed their best on Parisian catwalks this July.
Highlights included Elie Saab, wowing with layers upon layers of luxe fabric, texture and sumptuous draping and jewel encrusted gowns. At Dior, Galliano was on top form as usual, creating a tropical storm with striking netted gowns and abstract, enlarged floral prints.
Karl Lagerfeld created a winter wonderland at Chanel with padded and quilted fabrics in monochrome blocks lined with fur; and Valentino pitched to the younger customer this season: all frills and bows and exaggerated A-line minis which may surprise their regulars but hopefully not alienate them.
