Celebs at the Grammys

OOoh who has been TANGO'd ? Orange will be popular during Spring and lace is certainly still more  apparent in high street shops, however the length of the dress did no favours for Fergie at this year's Grammys. Perhaps a shorter version may have been more complimentary. The fish tale/mermaid shape is not flattering for those with narrow hips (Shakira could have rocked this outfit !!). Fergie bought the Gaultier dress a few weeks ago in Paris. She put a lot of pressure on herself by wearing this - what kind of underwear would you wear with this outfit ? A G string may be too crass but the grannie underwear also seemed to miss the point....sigh. This outfit could have worked had it been nude coloured or even black. Oh well let's see what she comes up with next time. Miss 4/10 (thumbs down)

Paul Costelloe SS12

Paul Costelloe described his SS12 collection as a celebration of the strong female silhouette. Through a soft colour palette – a hybrid of corals pinks and mint greens, peppered with paisley prints – structured feminine shapes and an air of innocent vintage Parisian romance, the London Fashion Week collection was just that.

Using the Hollywood classic 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane' as the inspiration for his SS12 range, the collection was young, fresh, playful and with a modern edge. The pieces all seemed to have a quirky exaggerated element – oversized pleat sleeves, voluminous ruffle necks and almost balloon like shoulders seemed to be a quietly mischievous nod to Alice in Wonderland.

Veronica Moncho Lobo is a London based designer who was born and raised in Salta, Argentina.
Salta is a city rich in the arts, with a vast amount of museums, theatres, and art galleries which I feel plays a part in the inspiration of Veronica's unique line. Veronica comes from an artistic family, with her own strong background in Fashion, so with both hand in hand she was always destined to go far.  In February 2008 along with her brother Fernando Moncho Lobo, Veronica launched her very own clothing line, and later went on to open a boutique in 2010.  Her label is now stocked around the world, in London, New York, Saudi Arabia, to name a few.  Ms Moncho Lobo certainly stands out, as she combines her love for couture, with celebrating the arts in timeless yet classic pieces.  Her Spring/Summer 2011 collection certainly caught my eye. I instantly fell in awe of this particular piece 'Juliet'.
