Rose Amber is a luxury resort wear brand launched in 2012. Founded by cousins Tessa Marwick and Jackie Manning, the label is named after their great, great grandmother Rosie and is clearly inspired the by beautiful colours, embellishments and textures characteristic of the Kanpur region.
Rose Amber specialises in kaftans and the debut collection is dedicated to India’s version of the garment, which was made famous by empress of fashion, legendary taste maker and former Vogue editor-in-chief, Diana Vreeland, and since popularised by designers such as Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. They can be thrown on over a bikini at the beach, before being teamed with heels and loads of jewellery for evening.
The range consists of printed chiffon in jewel hues. Each garment is handcrafted by Indian artisans to combine the finest fabrics with the region’s intricate handiwork. 5% of all Rose Amber creations sold goes to The Rose Amber Foundation.
