While isolating the runway and transforming the Carreau du Temple into a maze filled with wooden corridors, Givenchy unveiled its collection channeling Spanish conquerors of the 1500s. Givenchy also paid homage to the cradle of civilization with pieces inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs such as the legendary eye of Horus hieroglyph which symbolizes protection, royal power and good health.
Givenchy shifted from last year's lingerie to a more noteworthy collection involving richly coloured military style jackets, frocks in psychedelia and mysticism patterns, as well as contrasting snake and leopard pieces.
The hottest street style trend was hard to miss in Riccardo Tisci's collection, as it featured various patchwork python bombers, zipped pockets on the sleeves, as well as an elegant cropped finishing.
When honoring Givenchy's show, you can’t help but note the appearance of Bella Hadid after surrounding rumors involving cosmetically altering her visage. Nevertheless, she opened the show strutting down the runway in a gothic chic ensemble including a lacey frilled dress, black bomber jacket with puffy sleeves, an attached sole, and black suede thigh high boots.
