Did you stay up all night to watch the Oscars at the Dolby theatre in Hollywood ? We did - with one eye open. Sunday's red carpet event was robustly covered by the media. Monday morning newspapers, magazines and newsfeeds were buzzing with fashion reviews and style gossip. Our firm favourites were:
Rita Ora who wore a black strapless Marchesa gown with gold embellishments, the Bosnian beauty who hails from West London topped up her tan and sported a platinum crown. Rita is not only a vocalist, she has recently started acting and is now a respected thespian.
America Ferrera wore a dazzling teal Ombré Jenny Packham-designed gown and groovy Tribeca sandals, her elegant belt accentuated her waistline, her look was simple but effective.
Zoe Saldana, another Latina bombshell looked far more curvaceous than usual, we love her new post-baby curves. The beautiful actress wore a blush-coloured, custom atelier body-hugging Versace Gown and accessorised it with a Neil Lane 100 carat diamond necklace, the nude-coloured lippy perfected her look.
Other show stoppers were Jennifer Hudson in a yellow strapless Romona Keveza dress.
Queen of the red carpet, Jennifer lopez strutted her stuff with an embellished beaded Ellie Saab ball gown. Chloe Grace turned up in a Moretz strapless Miu Miu Calvin Klein robe.
These ladies deserve a round of applause for their originality and flair.
