Paul Costelloe SS25

Paul Costelloe took London Fashion Week 2024 by storm with his latest collection, "Le Ciel Est Bleu", an exquisite fusion of craftsmanship and romance. Held at the prestigious Hilton Hotel, the show marked another high point in Costelloe’s illustrious career, showcasing his seamless blend of classic tailoring and contemporary allure. The collection, translating to "The Sky Is Blue," conjured the elegance of the Parisian sky, mirrored in every detail—from the soft colour palette to the luxurious textiles.

Soft baby blues, creamy whites, and delicate blush pinks took centre stage, while deeper tones like indigo and lavender added richness and contrast. The pastel hues evoked a sense of calm and tranquility, while the moody shades added a dramatic, yet refined edge. These colours, paired with occasional bursts of brighter shades like sunshine yellow and fresh green, perfectly captured the essence of a Parisian Spring, full of life and energy.

Costelloe’s mastery of fabrics played a key role in bringing this collection to life. The runway showcased flowing silks and light chiffons that moved with ease, evoking a soft, airy quality. Organza and satin brought an elegant sheen, while structured wools and jacquards provided contrast in the more tailored pieces. The fabrics, paired with Costelloe’s expert tailoring, created a collection that felt both luxurious and wearable.

Floral prints were a standout feature, with delicate blooms adorning many of the designs. From painterly watercolor florals on flowing gowns to smaller, detailed prints on tailored blouses, the flowers gave the collection a fresh, romantic appeal. A showstopping floral gown, with oversized blooms seemingly floating across the fabric, captured the beauty of spring in full bloom.

A major highlight of the show was the debut of Paul Costelloe’s first-ever bridal collection. True to his style, the bridal looks combined classic elegance with modern touches. Voluminous skirts, intricate lace details, and sleek silhouettes in ivory satin and delicate tulle made for timeless, yet contemporary designs.

The front row was filled with notable guests, adding even more glamour to the event. Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, nieces of Princess Diana, brought royal charm to the show, while Miss Philippines Kacey Coleen, and Rebeca Riofrio added international flair.

As the models made their final walk, led by Costelloe’s stunning bridal creations, it was clear that "Le Ciel Est Bleu"was a triumph. The collection’s dreamy colors, exquisite fabrics, and delicate florals left a lasting impression, solidifying Costelloe’s status as a master of both timeless fashion and modern elegance.
